Growing up in Thailand and Uganda, my hunger for musical adventures has taken me around the world, where I explore and redefine diverse traditions. Vibrant collaborations with unique voices in music are always a priority, approaching them in unconventional ways to capture the essence of life and celebrate it through sound.
I want my music to be of uncompromising quality. With a personal language that blends the aesthetics and techniques of contemporary classical and non-Western music with the vitality of jazz, there has been significant international recognition for solo performances and innovative interpretations of contemporary music, jazz, Afro-Cuban religious folklore, cross-overs with Turkish, Moldavian, Senegalese, and Indian music, underwater music, and free improvisations from Istanbul.
I actively seek out unique challenges, leading to genre-defying collaborations with theater, visual arts, film, dance, performance art, and VJ. In roles as a soloist, composer, producer, bandleader, teacher, and curator, numerous festivals and concert series have been launched in the Utrecht/Zeist region, serving the community through art.
Passion for music education has driven the delivery of clinics and masterclasses worldwide, and a faculty position is held at the Conservatories of Rotterdam and Utrecht.
My obsession with music drives me to use my voice to reach beyond the ordinary, fully surrendering to artistic expression.
