Taiwan & Okinawa

Lotz/Purves (duo with Squeakologist Alan Purves) is invited to perform Taiwan. A.o. performing in an immersive theaterplay in the hills of Taipei. Also performing with our project Focus On Taiwan with Sheng player Li Li-Cheng and pianist Shih Yang-Lee. Next to the duo concerts I will perform in jazz, have solo recitals and collaborations in improvisation and will hold three lectures in Universities in Tainan and Taipei.

After that I’ll head to Okinawa for some fantastic performances. A.o for a Ushiderk performance with one of the last singers of the Oshima island, the legendary ‘Grandma’ Uejyo Shizu!

Dutch Tour 2020/21

Mark Lotz Trio in collaboration with legendary Dutch cineast Michiel van Bakel around LSD guru Timothy Leary. Taking Leary’s ‘Eight-Circuit Model Of Consciousness’ as point of departure we will perform psychedelic jazz with interactive video art. Cutting edge jazz with two exiting exponents of the new generation of the Polish music scene.

Lotz Of Music

We had intense pleasure performing a couple of concerts in Holland including a CD presentation @ Bimhuis, Amsterdam. A packed house enjoyed our chamber music with an electronic buzz. Slithering with live it was and we had fun. Check the review of our try-out at the gorgeous Beauforthuis at Draai Om Je Oren. A video will be published soon.

Best Of 2019

The debut CD of the Mark Lotz Trio won twice (!) in the BEST OF 2019 of the New York Jazz City Records Magazine in the ‘Honorable Mentions’ and ‘Artwork’ categories. (After been featured twice as ‘New Recommended Release‘  in their july/august editions.) We are in good company there.

International Light Festival

Lotz Of Music’s music was featured at the International Light Festival at the castle of Zeist. The animation of the octopus simply was gorgeous.

Vol Festival

With many helpers I am busy with organizing a little world music festival in one of the longest flats of Europe: the Vollenhove flats in Zeist. Holland has quite some problems with their disadvantaged areas. Here an attempt to break up the indifference and to connect the people in this neighborhood in music. Keep u updated.
