Mark My Wor(l)ds

Concert series @ Molen de Ster (Utrecht)

In Mark My Wor(l)ds I invite artists from different traditions of the world to perform music in a gorgeous location in Utrecht: a windmill with a wood workshop in full swing.

We present artists with an activistic background and a lot of music. Nimisha Shankar from Mumbai is ‘Recollecting Roots’ in rural areas in India, Daniel Okiror gives street children in Uganda a home and with Fernando Lameirinhas I talk about his book on his and his fathers life under the Salazar regime of Portugal.

Expect an interactive performance, talks and music in a unique setting.

Mandala Tribe

Mandala Tribe is an ensemble which features vocalist Shashwathi Jagadish hailing from Chennai. We present a crossover of Indian music with electronics and modern jazz and have gigs coming up at among others the Sound Of Europe and November Music. Show us some love if around!

 I make part of a theaterplay ENGINE OFF by Quintijn Terlouw. Performances this weekend in Zwolle at the Ijssel Biënnale. This is a good one with four actors with lots of solo flute performances and duets with pianist Koenraad Spijker at a great location.

 VOLfest is a community driven world music concert series at the legendary Vollenhove flats in Zeist.
