I’ve been very busy in the past months. Here an update:

A concert series by Museum Speelklok and Lotz Of Music: Mark My Wor(l)ds is a concert series in which I meet artists from a.o. Palestine, Brazil, Ghana, Syria, Iran and Trinidad to perform in a magical former church in solo acts, talks and new crossover.

An artistic reflection on the Corona era through out of the varied, rich cultures present within the Netherlands. In the days of #BlackLivesMatter and social isolation, let ‘their’ artistic voices be heard!

Mark the dates: Saturday evenings on November : 7, 14, 21 and 28th.

GIST! series

The very first GIST! Festival at the  Museum Speelklok in Utrecht was a huge succes. Mathilde Löffler on Gist! festival: “a truly wonderful ‘ground breaking’ festival’. This musicians collective initiative will be continued with a concert series. The first (out of seven) is taking place November 6st with three duets in two halls.

Mark Lotz Trio

Finally we can do some gigs with the Mark Lotz Trio. Due to Corona with an rhythm tandem of a new Dutch generation: Jamie Peet on drums (just awarded as Best drummer of the Benelux by the Slagwerkers Magazine Poll) and bass player Glenn Gaddum. Excited to shake some walls with these youngsters.

Sojourner’s Truth

A new ensemble entirely dedicated to female activists from past to present. Female activists and their powerful message is current, enthralling and very fascinating. Here a celebration in contemporary jazz.

Our first ‘try out concert’ was very exciting. We performed six out of ten freshly composed tunes at the Lotz Of Music series and we are longing for more. (We had performances planned but were cancelled due to Corona)

Jazz On The Sofa

Our Jazz On The Sofa festival, due to the new Corona regulations, has to re-shedule. The line up simply is gorgeous and will remain so at the new date. We keep you updated.

This year I should have toured Finland, Poland, Taiwan, Okinawa and The Netherlands. Three festivals I (co-)organize, as well as all my concerts were canceled, a few postponed. What is left you find here:
